Cape Town is situated in the Western Cape and is the second largest city in South Africa. The main landmarks are the famous harbour, Table Mountain and Cape Point. The region is very mountainous, with over 70 peaks rising above 1000 feet but in contrast to this, the suburban areas lie in the Cape Flats which is more sandy.
